"Connect to facebook" feature not working

Hi. I'm hosting my own pod on an Ubuntu 11.04 server. Everything seems to be working fine except for trying to connect to facebook. I set up an app on facebook, got an app id and all that stuff. But when I try to "Connect to facebook" I'm unable to get the connection to stick. I get a green bar across the top that says "Authentication Successful" but I'm always left with the messages "You have not connected any services yet. Connect to facebook" when I try to connect. I updated diaspora on the server a couple of days ago, but it didn't make any difference. Any ideas about what action I can take? I really don't want to remove diaspora and reinstall it if I can avoid it. Maybe hosting my own pod is more trouble than it's worth.

don't know if you found what was wrong, but i have the very same problem on my joindiaspora account (though its working on my diasp.org second account, and it used to work also on joindiaspora some months ago..)
I wonder if there could be a problem on the facebook side. Tried to uninstall facebook diaspora app then reinstall but no luck..

I have the same problem. I am connected to Facebook and Twitter but hen I choose to post to one of them from Diaspora I see the status on Diaspora only. I have used it months ago though and it worked then.
