I google Diaspora Hosting and after a while I finally found one host that mentioned possibly hosting Diaspora seeds.

It looks to me like they are working on getting their own product out and will be offering diaspora hosting when it is released and when they are done getting their product completed. I searched for diaspora hosts and could not find any.

Interesting. They said "the only way you can truly be 100% private with your data, is to store it on your OWN computer", but in a hosted solution it's NOT on your own computer, it's on the hosting provider's. They appear to be talking about a client-server model of Diaspora, is that right?

Thanks for your interest in my service, and I thought it would be nice to clarify, "from the horses mouth" LOL

if you go to the "about page" of my site.. its long winded, and you really don't want to see that kind of talk on a forum.. I usually fall asleep.. :P

anyhow. I had planned to offer blogging and website services to start off.
I then wanted to also do a decentralized social network as well.
When I was 1/2 way finished all my work, and btw, for the record? it took this long, cause I can't find a decent PHP Programmer!!!!
anyhow, enough of the rant :P

so then i'm doing a bit of google, and lo and behold, I see Diaspora, and I'm like NO WAY!!!
And so I thought, well, I guess I should offer their service as well. No point in redefining the wheel...

People have heard wind of my service, and I have been approached by others who have developed Decentralized Social networking projects.
And i will also be offering theirs as well.
Right now, I'm in talks with Ucentric, lovely guy! just as passionate as I am with decentralizing the Internet...

so, with regards to Diaspora, I'll be grabbing a copy of the software when its available on Sept. 15th, working it into my client, and have it ready when they release the beta for it...

So at the end of the day, I'm looking to be a central way of offering decentralized solutions...
if there are others out there that want to copy what I offer?
I hope they do.. the more people out there offering these types of services the better!

OH, and in case anyone is confused. I'm offering a simple Installer, that will install all the software you need to run Diaspora, on your OWN computer....
