I actually *have* posted my browser info in/on a couple of other posts, and I suppose when I looked at the dates/response times I realized I probably wouldn't be getting a cogent reply too soon, so it wouldn't be vital info to whoever finally starts to work through these basic snags...

I'm on an intel Mac OSX 10.5.8 with Firefox 3.6.26.....

The difficulty posting is intermittent and fairly basic to the functionality that is claimed for (and really ought to be in) Diaspora*...

Oh I read about someone using FF 3.6 in another thread, must've been you. This could definitely be the source of the problem.

I agree though that posting is a feature that should be compatible with most browsers. Maybe a "simple html" option either for either specific parts (like the entry box) or the whole pod would be useful?

MysteryGuest, have you tried with other browsers (Safari for example)?

One reason for using Firefox - which I must assume the Diaspora* crew are mostly using themselves - is it's ability to be a teency bit more secure than Safari, IE etc. And using Diaspora* at *all* is mainly because of the desire to be a teency bit screened from the pervasive surveillance state.......isn't it?

(Maybe I'll upgrade my Firefox.....)
