I am from Germany and using FF on ubuntu lucid. Trying to log into diaspora isn't possible anymore since this morning.
I already tried deleting all the cookies matching dia*, the SSL certificate from diaspora, the login data my firefox had in memory etc., but still no chance. After hitting the "login" button on the intro page the actual login page is loading, but a few ms later the initial page will get loaded again and I have no chance to enter any credentials at all.
The login is working fine using (e)links in a terminal. However, using diaspora only with a CLI browser isn't much fun, in spite I am glad that it is working at all, though. I have the feeling I have overseen something rather obvious ... any ideas? - TIA

I observe the same behavior. It started saturday evening. My pages (stream, profile, contacts...) could not be loaded anymore. For each new trial, loading seemed to begin correctly and then loading indicator kept oscillating between 50% and 70% approximately.
I am also using firefox on ubuntu lucid lynx.
After logging out, I observed the same behavior as m707: I clicked on a link to page https://joindiaspora.com/users/sign_in, this page loaded and immediately reloaded https://joindiaspora.com/#users/sign_in, and if I clicked again on the connexion button, the same cycle restarted.
Fortunately, my login and pasword have been memorized by firefox so that from time to time, the delay between the loading of these two pages is long enough and I can connect again.
Another detail: my avatar is a png image with transparency, and the transparency is no longer taken into account.
The two problems appeared at the same moment, so I believe they correspond to an upgrade of the software on joindiaspora.com.
A solution is to move to Chromium: using Chromium, I could easily connect and navigate between pages.

Just checked with FF 9.0.1 on W7 - no problem.

I checked again with firefox 3.6.24 (ubuntu lucid lynx) and it works! I can login, and see the stream.

/me2 (lucid here, too). Seems it was just a temporary problem.

Same prob here with FF and Safari since a few days. I got the message: "Server not found"!
